Vietnam is an amazing country famous for beautiful natural places. Along with pristine and attractive beaches, Vietnam also has natural tropical forests which are very valuable resource with Vietnamese people. Until now, there are 87 national parks from North to South of the countries. These are some of the best National Parks in Vietnam
1. Cuc Phuong National Park
Established in 1962, Cuc Phuong is the oldest national park in Vietnam. It is located between the Northern provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. Cuc Phuong has an attractive scenery and wildlife heritages which 90 percent covered by rainforest and the rest is limestone cliffs. The Park is home of thousands of plants and animals and birds. Moreover, in April and May, you can have chance to see literally thousands of vibrant butterflies.

Besides, surrounding the park are limestone cliffs with a rich ecosystem and particularly are enchanted limestone caves such as Thang Khuyet cave, Con Mong Cave, Pho Ma cave, Nguoi Xua cave which is the best choices for discovery lover.

Because Cuc Phuong is located in Ninh Binh province, you can easily visit other beautiful destinations here, including Tam Coc Bich Dong, Trang An, Van Long, Bai Dinh temple.

The best time to travel to Cuc Phuong is between April and November.

2. Tam Dao National Park

Tam Dao is located in Vinh Phuc province, 70kms far from Hanoi capital. The park has average temperature of about 22 degree around the year, which is the perfect ideal place for summer vacation with cool, fresh air and beautiful scenery.

Tam Dao has rich biodiversity, covering various ecosystems from the rainforest of South-East Asia to the alpine forests of eastern Himalaya. Moreover, the Park has a forest of Do Quyen tree (Rhododendron Simii), blossoming in red and pink in the spring.

In Tam Dao national park, there are two tourist sites. The first one is Tam Dao Town, nestled in a lovely valley near Thac Bac (Silver Fall) and Rung Rinh Peak. The town remains a lot of villas and resorts built by French long time ago. The second is Tay Thien site, including Tay Thien Quoc Mau temple, Thien Vien Truc Lam and other pagodas. It is one of the central of Vietnamese Buddhism.

3. Bach Ma National Park

Bach Ma national park is situated within the area of Phu Loc and Nam Dong district, about 60km to the south of Hue city. It is recognized as one of the biodiversity central of Indochina for its ecological diversification. It is also well-known for the wonderful natural landscape and fresh atmosphere.

Bach Ma national park still preserves its entire diversified flora system and spreading primitive forest. There are a lot of precious and rare species here. Besides, the Park also has Bach Ma peak, which lies at 1.450 meters high and is covered by cloud around year. Standing in the peak, you will see the imposing view of nature and feel the cool, fresh climate running through your body.

In addition, there are a lot of mysterious paths for you to explore, including Tri Sao path, Do Quyen Path, Rung Cho Den path, Ngu Ho path and Khe Su path.

Bach Ma park’s topography is pretty steep, so you’re better should prepare yourself carefully before you discover the park. If you really love an exploring adventure, you should drive by yourself 40km from Hue city to Bach Ma, along 1A Highway. It takes you about one hour.

4. Yok Don National Park

Yok Don national park is located in Ban Don District, Dak Lak province, about 40km to the west of Buon Ma Thuot city. Covering the area of 115.000km, it is the largest national park in Vietnam. The park features the specific characteristics of tropical forests in the Southeast Asia. Besides, the Park also preserves many precious and rare animals.

However, the most attractive thing in Yok Don is Ban Don Village which lies a few kilometers beyond Yok Don Park. The village is home of E De people – an ethnic minority of Vietnam, being famous for their unique culture and lifestyle. People in village also use elephants as a daily transport. You will have chance to sit on big elephants and sightsee around the forest along Serepok River. It will be really interested in discovering the Central Highland of Vietnam.

5. Cat Tien National Park

Cat Tien is located in the South of Vietnam, 150km the north of Ho Chi Minh City. Covering about 72 km2, it protects one of the largest areas of lowland tropical rainforest in Vietnam. The park includes evergreen tropical deciduous forests, featured by a rich biodiversity.

Cat Tien Park is also a developing tourist site. You can enjoy your vacation here with a lot of activities such as hiking, paddling the river, biking the mountain or bird-watching. You should highlight that the Park is home of some big mammals like tiger or leopard, so if you’re afraid of them, you should not visit here.
